This year’s state project is The PEACH Project to encourage students to understand the personal and economic implications of decisions made today in the areas of Public Policy, Environment, Action, Credit, and Health & Wellness.

Region & State Officer Candidates and Elections

Region officers for 2008-2009 have been appointed.  Any individual interested in serving as a region officer for 2009-2010 should submit a region officer application by  November 1.   Members interested in experiencing the ultimate leadership experience by becoming a state officer must attend an important orientation meeting at the Fall Leadership Conference.  State officer applications are due by January 6,  and all applicants wishing to become candidates must participate in State Officer Candidate Qualifying on March 14. 

Georgia FBLA Official Dress

Chapters are encouraged to adopt the Georgia FBLA Official Dress.  Competitors in the following events must be dressed in the Georgia FBLA Official Dress in order to compete:

·         Business Presentation

·         Future Business Leader (SLC only)

·         Impromptu Speaking

·         Public Speaking I

·         Public Speaking II 

Georgia FBLA Official Dress consists of:

·         Navy suit or navy blazer and khaki skirt/slacks

·         Official FBLA patch on the left chest area

·         White dress shirt (males) or blouse/shell (females)

·         FBLA tie for males (scarf for females is optional)

·         Dress socks (males) or skin tone/nude hosiery (females)

·         Dress shoes 

CONFERENCES:

Fall Motivational Rally

The Rally will begin at the Macon Coliseum for the motivational session and then head to the fair where many other activities will be held.  Many more contests and activities will be held at the Fair than ever before.

Fall Leadership Conference

This conference and leadership tracks are now focused around officers and more active chapter leaders as the leadership tracks are centered around leading your chapter.  Therefore, each chapter will be limited to 16 members in attendance (high school only).

When:  November 21-22

Where:  The Classic Center, Athens

How Much:      $45 (includes dinner and t-shirt)

Membership Receipt Deadline:  September 15

Registration/Hotel Reservation Deadline:  October 10 

Region Leadership Conferences

Region Leadership Conferences will be held at 15 sites throughout the state during the last two weeks of January 16-February 6.  Skills events have returned to the RLC slate of competitive events.

Where:  Various locations throughout the state

How Much:      $20 (includes meal)

State Leadership Conference

State Leadership Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.  The opening session will begin at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 27.

How Much:      $70 (includes $10 in meal vouchers)

National Leadership Conference

Join over 7,000 FBLA members from across the globe as Georgia FBLA hosts the 2009 National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.  Georgia FBLA will coordinate housing and travel for the entire state delegation.  The Institute for Leaders precedes the NLC from June 23-25.
